The other power of faith
Faith is a very powerful thing and you as a believer should ask yourself how far your're willing to allow you faith to take you.
Recently I saw an interview with a follower of the Blind Prophet, Chizuo, whose cult menbers in Japan released a gas in the Tokyo subway system killing 12 people and injuring 5,500 people. The individual in the interview was a doctor who described how he sat on the subway before releasing the gas looking at the faces of the people around him and knew that soon they would all die. He remembered thinking it was wrong for these people to die but then remembered that this was part of the yoga of the master and that he had to put faith in the wisdom of the master. At the next stop he set the gas to be released and left. How far are you willing to let your faith take you?
But now your saying my Messiah, my Jesus, my Mohamed, my Buddha would never ask me to do anything like that. That’s what every member of every cult would have said about his or her leader. They would argue that their spiritual leader is only about love even as they as they committed whatever crime they were order to do, like flying a plane into the side of a building.
Now if it’s the second coming of Jesus how could that ever be bad and of course your faith will help you recognize the true Messiah. So if your new Jesus were to ask you to help around up child molesters so their evil could be removed from the his new world, that would make sense wouldn't it? Then if he asked to remove the murders, rapist, and terrorist sure why not. Then the pornograhers, and the homosexuals, well they are sinners so why not. Then might come the heretics and unbelievers and so on and so on. At what point would you overcome your faith and ask is this right?
